SCHOLARSHIPS

I have been fortunate enough to have received two scholarships that have helped pay for my education. I did save up money to pay for what I could while I was in school, but I still had to take out loans as well. The scholarships have contributed a lot to my overall success.

Janet and James Carlson Social Justice Annual Scholarship

 

Jim and Janet’s intent is this scholarship will support a student following their passion for social justice. The purpose of this fund is to provide an annual scholarship for a student majoring in social justice. If no student can be identified, the scholarship shall be awarded to any student seeking a degree or career focused on creating a more socially just and equitable world. Students should have financial need and at least a 3.0 GPA.

Bill and Kay Erickson Social Justice Program Fund

This program fund was established by Bill and Kay Erickson as a reflection of their values and desire to advance social justice, not only at Hamline but also throughout the state of Minnesota and the world. The purpose of the fund is to provide financial support for the benefit of the social justice program in the College of Liberal Arts. The director of the social justice program shall use the annual distribution from the fund to further the education and experience of Hamline students in the field of social justice. The resources of the fund will be used primarily to put ideas and methods into action in order to foster positive social change.
